Reduction
Plan
In our 2021-22 report, we set out
an energy reduction plan for 2023.
Here’s a recap and how we did.
Then
vs
2023
Cease the use of kerosene for space and hot
water heating for the of昀椀ce and main house.
To be replaced with heat exchangers powered
by renewable electricity.
While we were still using kerosene in 2023, we were
making plans to stop using it and replace it with a
more planet-friendly alternative.
Switch some proportion of paint deliveries to
electric/pedal powered vehicles.
The search for an electric and pedal powered courier
service continued. We used local courier service APC
to deliver our products to customers. In 2023, we
continued to use a local haulage company based just
4 miles away, for all our pallet deliveries.
Install a renewable electric charging point to
encourage staff to switch to electric vehicles.
At the end of 2022, we installed an electric vehicle
charging point in the staff parking area. In 2023,15%
of our workforce owned electric vehicles. We
hope this will increase and, in the meantime, we
are looking to implement schemes to make EV
ownership more accessible to our team.
